I also love the guest speakers. I have been able to network with many of them, and that has really lifted my sewing game.

Love love this community. The monthly guest speakers are so informative and current. The members jump in to help with any questions. Nothing is too "beginner" to ask. Aims has amazing energy, is so inspiring and talented. Since joining Indy Bindy, I have tackled sewing a pair of linen trousers which I would never have done using the Top Down Center Out method, taken a class on improving my serger skills. (very much needed) and picked up numerous tips and tricks from the sewciety calls. Katie Kortman was a guest speaker whom so inspired me with her vibrant fabrics and colors. I look forward to checking in with the community to see what's going on. I highly recommend this sewing sewciety.

The Sewciety has been really great for me and my sewing practice! I've been a member for a year now and the new sewists I meet and Aim's tutorials and worksheets have made a real difference. And Aims makes it fun. Seriously a good time whether I'm following a tutorial or just hanging out with other Sewists, Aims keeps it real with her positive outlook on life and sewing. And the Guests she has brought in! I really enjoy the chance to interact in real-time, on Zoom. You are really missing out if you haven't joined.

This fabric was even more beautiful in person. It’s everything you could ask for: Soft, but easy to work with, opaque, but breathable, and just so unique. I made a wrap dress out of it and it worked great. I will say: double check your maths when ordering - I didn’t read carefully on the product description and needed to make a second purchase to get enough for my project. Purely my fault, but save yourself some time and do your maths! I liked it so much I ordered 10 of the red shashkio-ori as soon as I was done 😂

Hi Stacey! I’m so sorry I’ve just seen your comment! This is the Lantern Sleeve Blouse from the Japanese Sewing Book ‘Amai fuku’ by Asuka Hamada. If you haven’t sewn with Japanese pattern books before I have a free step by step guide that makes them super easy - you can find it here https://mailchi.mp/1c1cfe29eb3f/japaneses-pattern-books

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this fabric! This is the second time I have purchased it. I made an Ogden Cami with the first piece. I wear it often and get lots of compliments. It's fun and fresh. The fabric is so soft as well.
