MAKUMO TEXTILES

Miki and Tomota are the husband and wife team that make up Makumo Textiles. Miki designs and Tomota hand dyes their textiles in a little atelier by the sea on an island in the south of Japan.

They begin each of their designs with the aim to infuse the joy and excitement of life into them, they then use vibrant colour and lines to create their stunning fabrics.

Makumo Textiles are only released in small batches for limited times so that Tomota can keep up with the demand to dye them for you!

See their stunning designs below, only available until 5 November 2023.

Orders will be custom printed and sent out approximately six to eight weeks after the sale period ends.

A textured, sturdy mid weight. The beautiful ribbed effected is created by the slub of the fibers. It provides just the right about of body for a gorgeous statement sleeve!

I made the Lantern Sleeve Dress (as a top) from Amai Fuku by Asoka Hamada in this substrate.
