When will my orders ship?
Upon receipt of your payment, we endeavour to ship your order within 2 working days. If the item is urgent please advise and contact me prior to purchase for express post shipping estimates and costs.
How will I know when my order has been received and/or shipped?
After placing an order you will receive confirmation email with your invoice. You will receive a subsequent email when your order has been shipped via our shipping providers, Japan Post or Australia Post.
Once placed, can I modify or cancel my order?
We make every effort to ship orders quickly; once submitted, orders immediately enter our processing queues. If you need to modify your order, please email me as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate your request (firstname.lastname@example.org). I am unable to modify or cancel an order after it has been cut.
How long is the delivery time?
Delivery time will vary depending on destination and local postal service, as a general guide orders should arrive in 5 – 15 days.
Please be aware that we are currently experiencing delays on international shipping due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Parcels are currently arriving on average between 7 – 21 days from shipping. Thank you for your patience as we adapt to the evolving situation.
Shipping times may be longer if your parcel is held for customs inspection in the destination country, or in cases of inclement weather.
For time sensitive deliveries (e.g. birthdays or Christmas) please allow plenty of time for your order to arrive or consider contacting us for the express post option. Peak period delivery times (e.g. the lead up to Christmas) can vary significantly with International shipping.
Once shipped, how can I track my package?
Standard shipping rates do not come with a tracking number. If you would like your parcel shipped with a tracking number please select the shipping upgrade at the checkout or inform me prior to purchase (email@example.com). The upgrade will allow me to provide you with a tracking number once your order has shipped.
What if my order is ‘undeliverable’?
To avoid loss of items or unnecessary delays, please ensure the delivery address you have provided is correct. Once parcels have been shipped, they cannot be re-directed. Undeliverable or unclaimed parcels will be returned to us. Re-shipping a parcel incurs a $15.00 AUD fee for postage and handling. If a return postal charge is incurred this amount will be paid by the customer.
How much is the shipping cost?
I endeavour to find the cheapest and quickest method to get your fabric to you safely. Shipping costs for your order are calculated at checkout. For orders with a large number of items, please contact us prior to purchase to discuss bundled shipping costs.
Will my order incur customs fees?
Customs and import fees vary from country to country. All customs and import fees and taxes are the responsibility of the customer and parcels will be marked as merchandise.
What is the returns policy?
I cannot accept returns on cut fabric. However I want to make sure my customers are happy, so do get in touch if for some reason you are not happy with your purchase. Returns are not accepted without prior approval and are subject to return shipping fees and a 10% restocking fee. We will do everything we can to work with you to ensure any issues are solved.
Gift vouchers are not returnable.
What do I do if I received the wrong item/a defected item?
I recommend that you carefully inspect your items when the parcel arrives. Please contact Customer Service at firstname.lastname@example.org immediately if any of the items are wrong or damaged upon arrival. Provide a description and photo of any damage. Do not wash the fabric if it arrives damaged.
I reserve the right to replace, exchange, repair, offer credit or refund as appropriate.
Who makes the fabric?
All fabrics stocked at Indy Bindy are designed and made in Japan by independent fabric designers. Each designer has a distinct aesthetic and process for producing their designs and textiles. Find out all about the fabric and the artists that make them here.
Will my fabric arrive in continuous lengths?
Yes. However, if for any reason our inventory for a certain print is spread across two or more pieces, I will always contact you prior to shipping.
How should I care for my fabric?
I recommend a cold wash on a gentle cycle with similar colours, no chlorine bleach, gentle tumble dry. Iron at maximum of 150°C on reverse side only.
Can I use your fabrics for quilting?
Yes you can. The 100% cotton fabrics are well suited to quilting.
What does “fabric repeat” mean?
Designs are repeated along the length of a bolt of fabric. The length of the repeat is determined by the size of the screens that the mills use to print the fabric. As an example, the exact same peony on a floral print may appear every 30cm (12″) or every 60cm (23⅝“) depending on the repeat.
What payment forms do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards including VISA, MASTERCARD, American Express, as well as PayPal.

What security measures do you have in place?
Card payments can be performed online safely with the Nets SSL-secured payment form. My company does not have access to cardholder data, and card information is not stored on our systems.
