Named – Kerttu Knot Dress & Skirt

The Kerttu sewing pattern includes two variations: a sun dress with tie detail at the front, and a simple high-waist skirt.
Both variations come with a tiered maxi-length hem and an elastic waist.
The dress has a deep V-neck and a keyhole detail at the front. The rounded back neckline is gathered with spaghetti shoulder straps.
You can adjust the length of the straps through the opening in the back lining.

2.5 cm (1”) elastic, your waist circumference
Fusible interfacing, 80 cm (7/8 yd)
Skirt:
Fusible interfacing, 30 cm (3/8 yd)
Fabric Recommendations:
Choose a light weight or medium weight non-stretch fabric. You can choose a low-drape fabric, for example a light cotton or linen, or opt for a more drapey fabric, such as a medium weight rayon challis or similar. Use a pre-made cord for the spaghetti shoulder straps, or sew them from your main fabric.

Knot dress: 280 – 360 cm (3 – 3 7/8 yd)
Skirt: 190 – 255 cm (2 1/8 – 2 3/4 yd)
115 cm / 45″ wide fabric:
Knot dress: 315 – 375 cm (3 1/2 – 4 1/8 yd)
Skirt: 230 – 255 cm (2 1/2 – 2 3/4 yd)
Note: For patterned or napped fabrics, the fabric requirement may be higher.
