The Lahja dressing gown is a casual, straight-cut unisex sewing pattern.
The Finnish word ‘lahja’ means ‘gift’ and, as the name suggests, this robe is a great gift either for your friend or yourself!
There are two versions; a shorter knee-length gown with cropped sleeves, and a longer version that extends to the midleg and has full-length sleeves.
Both variations feature large patch pockets and a belt fastening.

XS–XXL
Bust: 108 – 156 cm (42 1/2” – 61 3/8”)
Hip: 110 – 158 cm (43 1/4” – 62 1/4”)

Short: Fusible interfacing, 125 cm (1 3/8 yd)
Long: Fusible interfacing, 155 cm (1 6/8 yd)
Fabric Recommendations:
Choose a non-stretch fabric. Depending on the desired look, choose a coarse fabric, for example natural linen, terry cloth, or honeycomb fabric or, for a lighter version, pick a drapey rayon or satin. The sample garments are made from stonewashed linen.

150 cm / 60″ wide fabric:
Short dressing gown: 260 – 305 cm (2 7/8 – 3 3/8 yd)
Long dressing gown: 295 – 370 cm (3 1/4 – 4 yd)
115 cm / 45″ wide fabric:
Short dressing gown: 310 – 465 cm (3 3/8 – 5 1/8 yd)
Long dressing gown: 375 – 545 cm (4 1/8 – 6 yd)
Note: For patterned or napped fabrics, the fabric requirement may be higher.
