Katie, if you know her, is a lover of colour! She is an artist and a sewist and just brings the best energy to everything she does. So I was over the moon when she said she want to make the new Palisade Pants by Papercut Patterns in our Banana Stand Pink fabric!!

This indie sewing pattern is the perfect choice, plenty of surface space to show the larger yellow bananas in the background design. And that fun pocket detail!! It meant Katie could add in piping and highlight the tiny pink bananas too! Check out her blog here for all the details on her make.

This fabulous fabric is by indie design house Mannine. Manri Kishimoto is the designer behind this print and all of her textiles have the such fantastic back stories and often the quirkiest characters too! The Banana Stand Pink design comes from her latest ‘Lesson’ collection of whom Robaudo the Donkey is a key character. He takes art lessons and when he’s on a break he will snack on bananas!

The Banana Stand Pink fabric is a beautiful, non-stretch mid-weight cotton. Clearly perfect for pants (totally jumpable and everything else that life requires!) but it’d also be fab for a dress or shirt.

Right now I’m celebrating the launch of my new website through TWO WHOLE MONTHS of giveaways!! The first one includes some of these Mannine fabrics and ends in less than an hour. Then another starts on Monday 10th December. Follow my Instagram account so you don’t miss it! And get on my newsletter for a discount too!

…And here’s a banana jump for good measure!
