‘The epitome of Springtime in gorgeous Nocogou fabric‘ is how Meg from Meg Made Sewing sums up her new dress.
When Meg picked the beautiful Rosemary and Lemon print she knew she wanted to make something for Spring and Summer with a vintage feel. She decided to pair it with the Jessica dress by Mimi G and it was a match made in heaven. Cue the blissful barefoot dancing in the yard!
This light, airy and fresh print encapsulates all things Spring. While every cut has a beautiful subtle texture, a gorgeous hand and weight, no two pieces are the same. The artists, husband and wife team Megumi and Katsuyuki, value using traditional craftsmanship to produce their textiles. So they are all handprinted using the katazome method. And created with inspiration drawn from the countryside of Aichi, Japan where they live.
You can find the beautiful Rosemary and Lemon print here and read all of Meg’s thoughts on the weight of the fabric, what it’s suited to and the adjustments she made to the pattern on her beautifully written blog.
I don’t know about you, but this dress has me wanting to replicate it immediately. And then get out in the Spring sunshine and find little treasures to pop in those perfect patch pockets! Thank you Meg for creating such a beautiful garment in this fabric!
