Designer Otsuki Yumi has her atelier in Tokyo, where she also lives with her husband and children. She values the lines and rhythm found when creating something by hand and begins her design process here with every print. She hand paints each image before printing it digitally onto fabric. The patterns found in her designs are inspired by what she sees in her day to day life.

This nature inspired, hand painted image portrays the rocks and sea glass collected by the designer during a trip to the beach. Once home, she placed them on her window sill and brought to life their organic shape and deep tones that had captured her imagination as she walked on the sand.
